Maderne Learning came about as a direct response to clients from the main Maderne business needing easily accessible courses that could be completed by their teams online. It was vital that the courses were written by someone who had actually worked in the environments that the trainee was experiencing, so they could be confident that the skills learned would be relevant in their workplace.
With pandemic restrictions in place in 2020, online courses became more of a ‘thing’ but having looked at what was available, there were some obvious gaps. I took the plunge to fill those gaps by using my own real-world experience to write courses and then working with colleagues who were experts in their own field for their courses.
An IOSH accredited trainer and holder of the PTLLS certificate in teaching in the lifelong learning sector, I have been training people for around 15 years. Drawing on years of experience in business consulting, commercial and operational roles, I turned my attention to creating online training courses that have an immediate impact on the trainee. My specialisms are business training, health and safety and waste and recycling, and my external tutors provide expertise in the other areas.
All the training courses are designed to be accessible to everyone, regardless of their background, and to be useful, affordable and relevant in today’s world.
